October 13, 1979 Joe Balas carries 18 times for 197 yards and a touchdown to help Weatherly roll to a 45-14 win over Central Columbia on Homecoming. Dan Hergert throws a pair of scoring passes and also runs for a score. Hergert hooks up with Mike Sanute for an 18-yard TD toss and also finds John Furmanchin for a 32-yard strike. The winners, coached by Ron Sandt, finish with 437 yards of offense including 380 on the ground. Rich Bresnock also gets in on the scoring with a one-yard TD run.
