Marian Homecoming slated for Oct. 14

Homecoming at Marian High School, Hometown, will feature plenty of activity when the Colts play host to the "Battlin' Miners" from Minersville on Friday. The highlight of the evening will be the crowning of Marian's 2011 Homecoming Queen and King during halftime festivities. Candidates for homecoming queen are, front row, from left, Madison Monaco, Danielle Tristani, Katie Smulligan and Amanda McHugh. Candidates for homecoming king are, back row, Anthony Pilla, Brendan McGowan, Anthony Damiano and Paul Martin. Also, in observance of homecoming, Marian alumni, family and friends are invited to take part in a social in the school cafeteria after the game. This will be an opportunity to mingle with the 2011 Colts, parents, friends and alumni. Food and refreshments will be served and a disc jockey will entertain from 9-10:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
