Selected for a fellowship at Bethesda Naval Hospital

Dr. Louis Moyer, son of Louis and Susan Moyer of Jim Thorpe, has been selected for a fellowship in pulmonary intensive care at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Md.
Moyer was promoted to Lieutenant Commander this past April, and is certified in internal medicine.
Moyer graduated from Jim Thorpe Area High School in 1989. His education also includes East Stroudsburg University, Georgian Court University and USUHS Military Medical School.
After medical school, he spent 10 months in Ramadi, Iraq, attached to a Marine Unit. He completed his internship and residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital and Walter Reed.
He has also been the personal physician for the Wounded Warriors Project at Walter Reed.
He resides in Damascus, Md., with his wife and three children.
