Former area resident to discuss novel

Paul Sheckler, member of Palmerton High School Class of 1955 and Penn State Class of 1960, will discuss and read from his novel, "The Hawk Knows," at Palmerton Area Library at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 21.

The book is available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and AuthorHouse websites, as well as at the reading. Sheckler, who resides in California, is hoping former classmates will attend.

"The Hawk Knows" centers around a Ponzi Scheme in real estate and is set in Arizona during the financial debacles of 2007-2008.

Besides the Phoenix area, the reader is taken to spiritual spots within the Navajo Reservation, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and San Carlos, Mexico.
