October 22, 1965 Lehighton pulls out a 7-6 Lehigh Valley League win over Emmaus to snap an 11-game losing streak against the Green Hornets. The Indians, coached by Mike Ebbert, score their only points in the second quarter. Jerry Serfass recovers an Emmaus fumble at the one-yard line and Den Novatnack follows with a TD plunge. John Woginrich blasts off right tackle for the extra point. The Hornets score in the fourth quarter but fail on the conversion. Another Emmaus threat ends when Ron Kunkle recovers another fumble.
