Hit-and-run crash probed in Carbon
State police at Lehighton are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred in Carbon County.
Troopers said a vehicle was driven westbound on Little Gap Road in Towamensing Township, about 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 17 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and went off the road striking a mailbox and small boulder.
After impact the driver fled the scene.
