Divorces granted

Joseph Shevokis, 192 Chee St., Barnesville, was granted a divorce from Patricia Shevokis, 242 N. Nice St., Frackville. They were married Sept. 2, 1979.

Victoria M. Fisher, Minersville, was granted a divorce from Matthew J. Fisher, Port Carbon. They were married June 17, 2006.

Cheryl A. Caufield was granted a divorce from James P. Caufield, both of Shenandoah. They were married July 11, 1988.

Kevin P. Kowalick was granted a divorce from Mikki J. Kowalick, both of Frackville. They were married Oct. 10, 2008.

Shannon M. Rohrig was granted a divorce from Steven J. Rehrig, both of Minersville. They were married May 27, 2005.

Richard Allen Beury, Ashland, was granted a divorce from Denise Marie Beury, Harrisburg. They were married July 9, 1988.

Revoke ARD

Nicholas S. Demyanovich, 49, of 1481 Valley Road, Tamaqua R.D., was removed by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin from the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program and now faces trial on a charge of fleeing police filed by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Rodgers. The program is for first offenders to allow them to serve a probation period, usually one year, and if they comply with the court rules they can clear their name.

Wins appeal

Shiane Follweiler, 18, last known address, Bowe Street, Tamaqua, won an appeal from a summary conviction by a magisterial district judge of charges of harassment and criminal mischief. After a hearing Judge Dolbin ruled not guilty of the charges.

Found guilty

James Panasik, of 417 Concord Drive, Easton, was found guilty by Judge Dolbin of the charge of permitting occupancy of a non-registered or inspected unit at 247 Spruce St., Minersville, and imposed a fine of $250 plus $23.50 costs.

Pleas guilty

Jose Gabriel Rivera-Cabrera, 34, Shenandoah, entered a guilty plea to charges of delivery of a controlled substance in Shenandoah and possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced by Judge John E. Domalakes to serve eight to 23 months in the county prison, pay $100 to the Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), a fine of $200, a $50 monthly supervision fee, make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and $40 to Shenandoah Police Drug Task Force.

Richard Daniel Cannavacciuolo, 20, Schuylkill Haven, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance in Minersville and was given credit by Domalakes for 12 days served in the county prison and was released on parole for 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA , a $50 monthly supervision fee and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. He was cited by Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey R. Bowers.

Revoke probation

Patrick Vincent Higgins Jr., 32, Orwigsburg, had his probation revoked by Judge Dolbin and was re-sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving 64 days. He had pleaded guilty to a charge of theft of a box containing drugs and was placed on probation.
