Published October 31. 2011 05:03PM

A one vehicle crash about 6:35 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, resulted in hundreds of pounds of corn kernels being dumped on the road. State police at Lehighton said the crash occurred along SR209 in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Gordon L. Rudelitch, 70, of Kunkletown, was driving a 1990 GMC truck southbound when he said another vehicle headed northbound entered his lane. He lost control of the truck which spun 180 degrees and rolled onto its roof off the right side of the road. The corn spilled along the right berm and part of the road. Rudelitch was not injured.

Troopers said Rudelitch could not describe the vehicle he claimed drove into his lane of travel.
