Salem St. Paul's Lutheran Church News
SSP's last council meeting was held on Aug. 8. The council voted to support Adam Jablonski's Eagle Scout project with a financial contribution. They are all anxious to see "The Faith Garden" when completed, as it will provide a beautiful place for prayer and reflection.
They are also looking for someone with website design talent. They would like to create their own Web page, and need help. Please talk to the Rev, Scheffey if you can help with that church project.
They return to their regular schedule on Sunday, Sept. 11, with worship at 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and Sunday School for age 3 to adults, 9-10 a.m.
Senior Choir (for adults and high schoolers) begins Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the sanctuary at 7 p.m. If you enjoy singing, please join them. If you have any questions, call Ellen Erb at (570) 350-0343.
Keystone Miller Bloodmobile
Keystone Miller Bloodmobile is grateful to those who donated blood on Aug. 7. SSP is listed in the Keystone Miller regional newsletter as a sponsor site and they did have a few walk-ins who dropped by to give blood. Blood donors are silent heroes. A number of you donated blood a few weeks ago for the annual drive and a great many more give blood on a more frequent basis.
SSP helped to save 40 lives with their blood donations.
Their next blood drive will be Aug. 12, 2012.
