Reunion committee meeting
The reunion committee for Jim Thorpe graduating classes 1955-1965 will meet this evening, Tuesday, at 7 o'clock at the Lion's Club pavilion at Normal Square. Those attending may bring whatever they would like to eat or drink.
Outdoor service
St. Mark's/St. John's Episcopal Church will hold an outdoor service on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. The service will take place at Mauch Chunk Lake Park.
Lutheran women
A presentation of three women from different periods of the Lutheran Church history converse with one another about all aspects of life and faith. The public is invited to enjoy the skit written by Dr. Jean Godsall-Myers of the Advent Lutheran Church, Old Goshenhoppen, Harleysville, Pa.
This event is sponsored by the Hazleton/Lehighton Women of the ELCA and will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 500 Ore St., Bowmanstown.
