Tamaqua couple wed 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Macalush of Tamaqua recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Aug. 19, 1961 at Primitive Methodist Church, Tamaqua, by the Rev. Francis L. Reilly.

Mrs. Macalush is the former Anne Edmonds, daughter of the late Timothy and Verna Edmonds of Tamaqua.

Mr. Macalush is the son of the late Benjamin and Anna Macalush of Nesquehoning.

The couple has two sons, Todd and his wife Lisa, and Darin and his wife Amy, and a daughter, Nicole, all of Tamaqua. They also have three grandchildren, Abigail and Ian Machay and Haley Macalush.
