Divorces granted
Scott M. Bodenberg, Auburn, was granted a divorce from Nicole Bodenberg, New Ringgold. They were married Feb. 19, 2005.
Leilani Williams, 117 W. High St., Coaldale, was granted a divorce from Jacob P. Williams, Summit Hill. They were married March 1, 2007.
Roy E. Habel II, 54 Catawissa Road, Tuscarora, Schuylkill Township, was granted a divorce from Margaret A. Habel, Summit Hill. They were married Nov. 16, 1996.
Colette J. Corby, Frackville, was granted a divorce from Christopher J. Corby, Saint Clair. They were married Nov. 29, 2003.
Joseph P. Polaconis, Shenandoah, was granted a divorce from Danielle M. Polaconis, Ashland. They were married March 14, 2008.
Kenneth A. Jacoby, Schuylkill Haven, was granted a divorce from Jennifer M. Jacoby, Auburn. They were married July 4, 1998.
Credit card debt
Citibank (South Dakota) N.A., Sioux Falls, S.D., filed suit against Barry Brassington, 87 Park Place Road, Mahanoy City, alleging he owes a balance of $1,739.91 on his credit card.
Drop charges
On motion of District Attorney James P. Goodman criminal charges were dismissed by President Judge William E. Baldwin against the following:
Thomas R. Fort, 54, Minersville, charged with terroristic threats and two counts of disorderly conduct.
Neal Michael Hubish, 31, inmate in the state correctional institution in Ryan Township, charged with aggravated assault and harassment of a correctional officer.
Bench warrants
Thomas F. Moll, formerly of McAdoo, after appearing in court had the bench warrant issued against him for failure to meet a court appearance, had the warrant dissolved by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin, his bail forfeiture set aside and bail was reinstated in amount of $5,000 percentage, also he must reside at 1151 Bulldog Drive, Allentown, and shall not relocate without court approval, maintain employment and shall not consume or possess alcohol or illegal substances. Moll faces charges of theft of an all-terrain vehicle stolen in McAdoo.
Robert J. Britting, 26, Shenandoah, had his bench warrant dissolved and bail revoked and was committed to the county prison to await revocation proceedings. He pleaded guilty to using a credit card without permission belonging to someone else and after serving 19 days in prison was placed on probation.
Bail hearings
Bail of $1,500 percentage was fixed by Judge Charles M. Miller in the case of Michael A. Flickinger, 36, Port Carbon, who faces charges of theft for failing to pay for heating fuel placed in his home.
Bail was set at $10,000 unsecured by Judge Miller in the case of Eileen Bobb, 47, Shenandoah, who awaits trial on charges of obstructing administration of law and giving false information to mislead police.
Ricardo Knight, 23, Ringtown, had his bail set at $500 percentage by Judge Dolbin and his must reside at 108 Rice Street, Ringtown. Knight faces drug related charges.
No windmill project
The Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania denied the appeal of Broad Mountain Development Company, LCC, from the ruling of the Butler Township Zoning Hearing Board which revoked a permit issued by the township's zoning officer to allow the company to install 20 to 28 wind turbines which would have been spread over 11 acres in an east/west direction along the Ashland Mountain as it traverses over and along the Fountain Springs Valley in the township. The higher court affirmed the ruling. Forty-seven homeowners had objected to the installation of the wind turbines.
Drop charges
District Attorney James P. Goodman made a motion to drop all charges against William John Murphy, 43, Shenandoah, because the victim did not wish to prosecute and the motion was granted by Judge Baldwin.
Murphy faced 12 criminal charges, including kidnapping, robbery, theft, terroristic threats, assault and recklessly endangering another person.
The victim, Robert Whispell II, according to the report filed by Shenandoah police, was accosted after he left a bank, robbed and was held for six hours. Goodman said the victim received full restitution and did not want to prosecute.
