September 12, 1998 Chris Jacobs carries 14 times for 213 yards and three touchdowns to help Pleasant Valley pull away from Coughlin for a 38-20 victory. Jacobs hits paydirt on runs of 57, 24 and seven yards, including the go-ahead score in the third quarter. The Bears, coached by Tony Caracio, also receive 106 yards and a four-yard TD run from Mike Wallace. Ryan Shaw adds to the PV scoring with a 32-yard interception return.
