Rear-end collision

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a rear-end collision that occurred about 4:07 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, along SR209 in Polk Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said a 2008 Kia Spectra operated by Amanda S. Green, 24, of Kunkletown, ran into the rear of a 2011 Toyota Prius driven by Patricia Batzel, 63, of Clifton Township, Lackawanna County.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance.

Troopers cited Green for following too closely.
