Driver cited for 97 in a 45 speed zone
A Tamaqua area man was cited by police after he was clocked traveling 97.5 miles-per-hour in a 45 zone.
Tamaqua Patrolman Jeff Wainwright was conducting a traffic study along Owl Creek Road Saturday morning, Sept. 9, when he clocked a 1996 Subaru traveling at the high rate of speed.
The operator was identified as Matthew Martin, of 5 Gamelands Drive, Tamaqua R.D.
Martin was cited and released.
