Criminal mischief incidents probed

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating several criminal mischief incidents.

Troopers said unknown persons discharged a firearm striking a cable transformer box located along Longwoods Road and Old Orchard Lane, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. The incident occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 11 a.m. on Aug. 13. The cable box is the property of Blue Ridge Communications, of East Stroudsburg, troopers said.

Lois L. Wuebber, 70, and Charolette F. Woltal, 60, both of Brodheadsville, reported someone damaged their mailboxes that are located at the intersection of Jean Drive and Ann Street in Chestnuthill Township. The incident occurred sometime between 6 a.m. and noon on Sept. 12.
