A Schuylkill County driver was cited following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 12:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, along SR61 in Blythe Township.

State police at Frackville said Earl J. Johnson, 22, of Middleport, was operating a 1996 BMW 328 southbound in the right lane at an unsafe speed when he lost control. The car began to slide and spin clockwise and struck the guard rails with the right rear side. The car then rolled onto its drivers' side in the left lane and came to rest on the drivers' side facing north.

Johnson and two passengers, Crystal Harper, no age given, of Pottsville, and Joanna Melson, 18, of Shenandoah, were all not injured. A third passenger, a 15-year-old female from Shenandoah, sustained a minor injury, troopers said, but did not require immediately medical attention.

Troopers said Johnson was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
