September 21, 1974 Slatington's Steve Hluschak scores on a three-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to tie rival Northwestern and his extra-point kick moments later allows the Bulldogs to pull out a 14-13 victory. The winners, coached by Rich Snell, open the game's scoring with a 26-yard TD pass from Mike Hunsicker to Robert "Yogi" Edwards. For the Tigers, Mike Weber had a pair of scoring runs.
