Hometown couple celebrates 40 years

Mr. and Mrs. James Firkal Jr. of Hometown will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Oct. 2, 1971 at St. Joseph's Church in Summit Hill.

Mrs. Firkal is the former Patricia Yurick, daughter of Paul and Frances Yurick of Summit Hill. Her husband is the son of the late Rita and James Firkal Sr. of Coaldale.

The couple have three children: Pamela of Summit Hill, Kimberly of Hometown, and Brian, who is deceased.

The Firkals took a trip to Disney World in Florida with their daughters to celebrate this special occasion.
