"It's fun. We like to go out and show that we're not as bad as people might think we are; the Colonial League is not too far behind the LVC. They got bigger selections, but we're definitely close to them and we just like to go out and do our best."
The LVC West team escaped with a 81-77 victory in the final minute.
Brittany Pierzga of Notre Dame and Kelsey Hay of Palmerton each scored 13 points to lead the Colonial girls.
"It was such a honor to be selected to this team with all the great competition and athletes in our league [Colonial League] and the Lehigh Valley League," said Hay. "It was just such an honor. We knew we had a little black cloud hanging over our heads. The Lehigh Valley league is such a great league, but we showed today that we could hang.
"Obviously it was a great game with competitive spirit, but it was fun overall."
