St. Joe's falls in semifinals
St. Joseph's of Jim Thorpe CYO girls basketball team won the District 5 championship this season.
St. Joseph's was 9-0 in District 5 play and 13-4 overall. The team advanced to the District 5/4 playoffs where it defeated Fr. Chizack Blue. It was then eliminated in the semifinals by St. Matthew's.

St. Joseph's rallied for a 19-16 victory over Fr. Chizack Blue.
Maureen Kloap keyed a fourth quarter rally as St, Joseph's overcame a 13-11 deficit to pick up the victory.
Kayley Kovac led St. Joseph's with 10 points. Kloap added seven.
St. Joseph's-St. Matthew's
St. Matthew's used a big fourth quarter to beat St. Joseph's, 33-25.
St. Joseph's led 24-23 heading into the final period, but a 10-1 St. Matthew's advantage help them pull out the win.
Kayley Kovac's 13 points paced St. Jospeh's. Erin Shigo chipped in six points.
