April 20, 1974 Frank Jacobs races home with the winning run in the eighth inning as Panther Valley takes advantage of a Schuylkill Haven miscue to win a 3-2 decision. Jacobs singles and steals second before a throwing error allows PV the walk-off win. Greg Whitehead tosses all eight innings for the Panthers, coached by Bob Gelatko. The righty strikes out seven in earning the victory. Ben Arthur also contributes with two hits and an RBI.
