The Jim Thorpe Borough Council will be accepting letters of interest for the following positions; Jim Thorpe Zoning Hearing Board and the Jim Thorpe Planning Commission.
If you are interested, letters must be received at the borough office, by 3 p.m. on May 10.
Each envelope should be marked for the board that you are applying. If you have questions call the borough office.
Benefit concert
The Bach and Handel Chorale will be presenting a benefit concert on Saturday, May 5, at 3 p.m., in St. John's Lutheran Church, South Ave. The Chorale has been using St. John's as its "home" for over 25 years for rehearsal. They are showing their appreciation to the church, by presenting this concert.
Under the direction of Randall Douglas Perry, the Chorale will perform a variety of music. Donations will be accepted and will be contributed to the church for the organ fund.
