Meet the Teachers Night
This evening, Northern Lehigh School District's first- and second-grade students and their parents are invited to visit Peters Elementary School from 6:30-8 p.m.
Peters Elementary School is located at 4055 Friedens Road in Slatington.
This is an extremely important evening when teachers will introduce the curriculum and discuss the class schedule.
Meet the Teacher Night provides an opportunity for parents and children to meet the child's teacher, and to visit the environment that students will be involved in on a daily basis.
Meet the Teacher Night will observe the following schedule; First grade, 6:30-7;15 p.m.; Second grade, 7:15-8 p.m.; visit with PTO officers and representatives who will be available in the cafeteria, making it convenient to join the Parent/Teacher Organization, 6:30-8 p.m.
In early August, students who are registered in first or second grade received an invitation, which indicated the child's teacher and his/her room number. Students who are new to the district should be registered as soon as possible in order to receive an invitation.
Dismissal for children attending Peters Elementary begins with parent pick-up at 3:20 p.m., followed by bus dismissal.

First Day of School
The first day of the 2012-2013 School year is Monday, Aug. 27.
School start times are as follows: High school, 7:10 a.m.; middle school, 7:13 a.m., seventh grade report to auditorium, eighth grade report to homeroom. Tardy bell rings at 7:20 a.m. Slatington Elementary School, students may enter the building between 8:10-8:20 a.m. Peters Elementary, students may enter the building between 8:50-9:05 a.m. Start time is 9:05 a.m.
