PVMS Band concert

The Pleasant Valley Middle School band concert will be presented at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 13.

Early Board meeting

The Pleasant Valley School Board will be meeting one week early, on Dec. 13, due to the upcoming holiday. The meeting is still at 8 p.m. in the district office.

Saturday show

Countryside Alliance will be offering a free Christmas Puppet Show by Gospel Ministries to Children. The show will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, at the church at 126 Countryside Drive in Brodheadsville, located across from the PV Middle School.

Christmas Cantata

Zion Lutheran Church Choir will present its Christmas Cantata during the 10:30 a.m. worship service, Sunday, Dec. 16.

Chorus Concerts

The Pleasant Valley Middle School Chorus concert will be presented at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18.

The Pleasant Valley High School Chorus Concert will be performed at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19. The snow date is Thursday, Dec. 20.

Advent Penance Service

Our Lady Queen of Peace Church will hold an Advent Penance Service at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec.18. Such services will also be held at other area Roman Catholic churches.

Monroe Seniors

On Friday, Dec. 14 and on Wednesday, Dec. 19, the Monroe Seniors, meeting in Zion Lutheran Church's Fellowship Room in Brodheadsville, will convene at 9 a.m. for fellowship, food and fun.

Free luncheon

The free community luncheon for those in need, as hosted by Our Lady Queen of Peace, will be held, beginning at 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 19, in McCawley Hall.
