Summit Hill
Children's Christmas party
American Legion Post 316, Summit Hill, will hold its annual Christmas party for children of the community on Sunday, Dec. 15.
Santa will arrive at 1 p.m. to greet the children, who will be treated to hot dogs and soda.
Santa will present a Christmas stocking to each child.
Blood drive
St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, will sponsor a Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile on Thursday, Dec. 20, from 2 to 7 p.m., in the church social hall.
The unit goal is 16 pints of whole blood and two donations of red blood cells.
Blood donations are critically needed.

Nesquehoning
Zion Lutheran
This week at Zion Lutheran Church, 2 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, the Jim Thorpe High School Chorus will perform during the 9 a.m. worship service. Vicar en Siebert will preside.

Meed's Methodist
Meed's United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., will hold its annual Christmas tree decorating and lighting along with caroling and refreshments on Friday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m., in front of the church.
All are welcome to come out and participate in the festivities and celebrate the Christmas season.
