Bears get mat victory
Pleasant Valley knocked off another Lehigh Valley Conference foe in non-league wrestling action Thursday night.
The Bears, who defeated Nazareth earlier in the season, traveled to Northampton and handed the Kids a 36-28 defeat.
In other action, Palmerton fell to Liberty.

Pleasant Valley and Northampton each won seven bouts in their non-league match but five of the Bears wins were falls and those bonus points carried them to a 36-28 victory.
PV received pins from Michael Dahlstrom, Ernie Klingel, Joell Toledo, Mike Benner and Kenny Yanovich. The Bears' Aaron Brewer and Dominick Ammirato added decision wins.
In a marquee matchup between state-ranked wrestlers at 113, Northampton's Zach Valley edged Sean Bianco by an 8-5 score.
