Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday service with communion will be held at St. Matthew's UCC in Kunkletown on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Blood drive
St. Matthew's UCC in Kunkletown is sponsoring a Blood Drive with Miller-Keystone Blood Center on Monday, March 19 from 1-6 p.m. in the social hall. If you can donate blood, please call the church office to sign up, (610) 381-2442.
Eldred Township Historical Society
The Eldred Township Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Eldred Township municipal building. It will be a Share and Show night. Anyone who attends should bring in an antique item or an unusual or unique item to show and tell. Everyone is invited.
Lenten kick-off
St. Matthew's UCC's Sunday School will host a Lenten reception at 10:30 a.m. after the regular Sunday morning worship service at 9 a.m. They will be serving soup and hot dogs and will offer a craft workshop.
Chestnut Ridge Seniors
The Chestnut Ridge Seniors will meet on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. Bring a bag lunch and lucky charms to play bingo. They will be celebrating Presidents Day by serving cherry pie and ice cream.
Helping the Sharp family
On Saturday, Feb. 18 from 1-5 p.m. the Kunkletown Vol. Fire Co. will hold a benefit for the Sharp family who lost their home to a fire on Jan. 5.
