Free BP screening
Compassionate Care Hospice offers free blood pressure screenings from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., the fourth Friday of the month at the Chestnuthill Senior Center to center participants. The next screening is Friday, Feb. 24, at the center at Zion Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville.

Pantry needs
Effort UMC's Supplemental Family Resource Center is in need of canned tuna, chili, peas, macaroni and cheese, and clean to-be-recycled grocery bags. Volunteers will use those to fill with foodstuffs for hungry families.

The Knit & Crochet Group at Zion Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville will meet at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28.
Night of Unity
Pleasant Valley School District will celebrate its annual Night of Unity from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the high school in Brodheadsville.
Many groups will display their history, focus and accomplishments.
The snow date is Thursday, March 1.
West End Rotary
The club will welcome Kelista Sanders to its Thursday, Feb. 23, meeting. Sanders will speak about the Waldorff School.
The club meets at 7:30 a.m. at the Western Pocono Community Library in Brodheadsville.
Double celebration
Western Pocono Lioness will be meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the American Legion on Route 209 in Gilbert. The social hour begins at 6 p.m. with coffee, tea, and special treats for a belated Valentines and Mardi Gras celebration. The club invites prospective and current members to join the fun and games.

The Pleasant Valley School District Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, in the district offices in Brodheadsville.

Countryside Alliance Church, located at Route 115 and Countryside Drive, Brodheadsville, will have the Jacobs Brothers in concert, Sunday, March 4, at 6 p.m.
