The Jim Thorpe Olympian Touchdown Booster Club will meet this evening at 6 p.m. in the commons area of the high school.
This is an organizational meeting and it is hoped as many parents and friends as possible can make it. There will be organizing of committees for the 2012 season.
The Touchdown Club is the booster club for the junior high through high school football teams. It is a fundraising organization and everything they do is to support the teams and the coaches. Reunion committee meeting scheduled
Members of the Jim Thorpe 1955-1965 reunion committee will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the administration building of the school district, on Center Avenue.
Community dinner set
The next free community dinner held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Race Street, will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22, from 4-6 p.m. The menu this month will be spaghetti and meatballs.
