Carbon crash

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 5:30 p.m., on Jan. 3, at 30 Porter Drive, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, involving a trooper.

Trooper Daniel R. Nilon, 26, of Blakeslee, was operating a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria and attempting to back up to turn around in a driveway when the vehicle struck a tree. Minor damages were reported and Nilon was not injured.
