Cyclist is injured in Route 100 crash

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said Francis Young of Mohnton was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:06 p.m. Jan. 11 on State Route 100 in Lowqer Macungie Township.

Police said he was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment of injuries, the extent of which police said are not known.

Police said he was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson northbound on Rt. 100 and was following a 2000 Nissan Altima too closely, eventually impacting its rear.

The car was being driven by Bonnie Chung of Breinigsville, who was uninjured.
