Palmerton couple celebrate 40 years

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tobia of Palmerton recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married by the Rev. John Pavlosky on Jan. 14, 1972 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palmerton.

Mrs. Tobia is the former Mary Cahoy, daughter of the late Frank and Frances Cahoy of Geddes, S.D. Her husband is the son of Ann Tobia and the late Steve Tobia of Palmerton.

The Tobias have four children, a daughter, Lisa and her husband Lt. Col. Erik Lowe of Adams, N.Y.; and three sons, Joe and his wife Jen (Kralik) of Palmerton; Matthew, who is deceased; and Vincent of Palmerton.

The couple also has six grandchildren, Madeline, William and Claire Lowe and Nicholas, Jared and Makenna Tobia.
