Tamaqua woman arraigned on charges

A Tamaqua woman was picked up on a felony warrant on Wednesday, suspected of stealing two items from a Tamaqua home.

Jennifer Dipietro, 28, of 230 Green St., Tamaqua, was picked up by Tamaqua Patrolman Michael Hobbs after a felony warrant was issued for Dipietro's arrest on charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Dipietro allegedly removed a watch, valued at $500, and a necklace, valued at $2,800, from the home of Wisam Abazly, 136 Schuylkill Ave. The incident was reported on Dec. 23, 2011.

Dipietro was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, then lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $25,000 percentage bail.
