Woman charged with stealing from parents

Pocono Mountain Regional Police have reported the arrest of 21-year-old Carly Boyer of Blakeslee on charges that she stole from her parents.

Police said the arrest was made at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 17 in Tunkhannock Township after the woman's parents reported she forged 17 checks totalling $3,000 between November and December of last year.

Police charged her with forgery, theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was arraigned and committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, in lieu of $5,000 bail, pending a preliminary hearing set for Feb. 2.
