Monroe arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests made by officers.

On Saturday, Jan. 21, about 4:24 a.m. officers on patrol of the Pocono Farms Community observed foot prints in the snow leading away from an abandoned residence. Officers followed the foot prints to the residence at 7215 Mohansic Lane. Upon arrival officers observed an individual stumbling in the driveway. A further investigation identified the person as Daniel Janki, 32, of Tobyhanna. Janki was intoxicated and was at the residence of his wife, Dipa Janki, 36.

Police said there was a no contact protection from abuse (PFA) order in effect. Daniel Janki was taken into custody for violating the order and placed in the county prison in Snydersville.

On Jan. 20 officers responded to the area behind 225 Clearview Road, in Emerald Lakes, for a report of a man yelling for help. Upon arrival officers encountered Natalie Rodriguez, 18, of Long Pond, in a vehicle nearby. She had scratches on her face and appeared to have been involved in a fight.

Officers also located Davina Rodriquez, 24, of New York, behind the residence. An investigation determined that Natalie and Davina engaged in a fight with each other and sustained minor injuries.

Both were cited for harassment, police said.

Police were called to the CVS store in Mt. Pocono, on Jan. 21 for a retail theft. The suspects left the scene in a Dodge Stratus, maroon in color.

Police later located the vehicle matching the description on Summit Avenue and SR940 and conducted a traffic stop.

The occupants of the car were identified as Ariane Randolph, 29, of Stroudsburg, and Andrea Hernandez, 35, of Pocono Summit.

An investigation determined that the two allegedly stole several items form the CVS store and left with them. A search of the vehicle revealed the stolen items. Also found was prescription medication and drug paraphernalia.

The two were placed under arreset for theft and drug counts and later released.
