July 13, 2004 Jim Thorpe hits four home runs during an eight-run fourth inning to help defeat Valley West, 12-6, and win the District 18 11-12 Little League championship. Pete McGuire drills a three-run blast in the big frame while Joe Kloap adds a two-run shot. The winners, managed by Rob Stermer, also receive solo homers from Cody Kmetz and Zach DeMarco. Pat Janecki relieves on the mound and tosses two scoreless innings to preserve the victory and the title.
