Couple celebrates golden anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Henry O. Malmquist of Lansford will be celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on Aug. 4.

The couple met in the summer of 1962, and after two months, were married by the Rev. O.W. Chapin at the First Presbyterian Church, Hanover, N.J.

Mrs. Malmquist is the former Constance Riepe, daughter of the late Lillian and Francis Bell.

Mr. Malmquist is the son of the late Mrs. M. Malmquist.

They have three daughters, Lillian Ranieri of New York City; Diana Dilley of Texas; and Mary Malmquist of Brodheadsville.

They say the secret to longevity is simple: communication.
