Loses Liberty

Richard George Wolfe, 25, of 232 Millhead Road, Tamaqua, lost 112 days of liberty when Judge John E. Domalakes revoked his parole and re-committed him to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence. His maximum date for release was extended to Dec. 31, 2013. He is eligible to apply for re-parole on Sept. 8.

Domalakes told Wolfe he would consider an earlier parole if he is accepted into an inpatient treatment facility. His parole was revoked because he failed to report a new arrest and possessed illegal drugs. Wolfe had pleaded guilty last Jan. 12 credit card fraud and received credit for serving 100 days in prison and was released on parole.

Assaulting cop

Jeffrey Marchuk, 27, Schuylkill Haven, pleaded guilty to simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest, and fleeing police, and was sentenced by Judge Domalakes to serve one to two years in a state correctional facility. He received credit for spending 96 days in the county prison.

He was charged with driving his vehicle over the foot of Schuylkill Haven Patrolman David George, while fleeing apprehension.State prison

Joshua Allen Thurman, 25, Spring Glen, Hubley Township, was sentenced by Judge Jacqueline Russell on a charge of aggravated assault to serve 40 to 80 months in a state correctional institution followed by two years probation to be supervised by state authorities. He received credit for spending 179 days in the county prison.

On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia he drew a 12 months probation sentence to run concurrent and on charges of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault received no further penalty.

Second chance

Danielle Betty Wildermuth, 30, Panther Valley Road, North Manheim Township, was given a second chance by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin. Although he revoked her probation he gave her credit for spending 49 days in the county prison and placed her on parole again for 23 months with the condition she keeps her appointments with the drug and alcohol agency on July 30.

She had pleaded guilty last April 12 to theft from Martin's Farm Market in Wayne Township and receiving a bike stolen from Hared Polstan. Drug problem

Kenneth M. Neifert, 26, of 32 Valley St., New Philadelphia, was removed from parole because he can't stay away from illegal drugs. He had pleaded guilty in May 2010 to possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and after serving one month in jail was released on probation.

He was charged with violating the terms of his probation by smoking marijuana and failed to report once a week to his probation officer.

Domalakes sentenced him to serve the balance of his term in prison and his maximum date was extended to Feb. 18, 2013, however, the court told him he would consider parole if he was accepted into an inpatient treatment facility.

Dissolve PFA

A protection of abuse order obtained by Joan L. Evans, 21 Hickory Court, Orwigsburg, against Brent Asher Evans was dissolved by Judge Jacqueline Russell who ruled she had violated conditions of the current PFA order by permitting Evans to live at her home after she obtained a court order against him.Changes prisons

Van David Vesay Jr., 26, Minersville, was charged while an inmate in the county prison with possession of a controlled substance by an inmate and was sentenced by Judge Domalakes to be transferred to a state correctional facility to serve six to 12 months.

Revoke ARD

Brendon William Brown, 39, of 425 E. Mahanoy St., Mahanoy City, gave up a chance to clear his name of a criminal charge when he was removed by Judge John Domalakes from the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program, which is a program reserved for first offenders of non-violent crime. Had he finished his 12 months in the program and his name would have been cleared of a charge of theft.

Brown was removed from the program because he failed to report once a week to his probation officer, smoked marijuana, and failed to perform community services. He now faces trial on the charge of theft of a home theatre sound system owned by John Wronski, Mahanoy City
