Feed the People

Feed the People will serve meals during the month of August as follows: Tuesday, Aug. 7 at the Summit Hill Heritage Center, 1 W. Hazard St. from 10:30 a.m. to noon; Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 E. Abbott St., Lansford, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Feed the People will now begin serving dinner on the third Wednesday of each month, beginning Aug. 15 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

All are welcome to attend regardless of residency. Meals are free and volunteers are always needed and appreciated.

Meed's VBS meeting

An organizational meeting for the upcoming Vacation Bible School to be held at Meed's Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., will be held on Monday, July 30 at 7 p.m. Anyone wishing to volunteer to help with VBS is welcome and should attend the meeting.

The VBS will be held Aug. 6-10 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
