Jim Thorpe couple wed 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Schweibinz of Jim Thorpe celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary yesterday. They were married by the Rev. James Doolin, on May 31, 1952, in Immaculate Conception Church, Jim Thorpe.

Mrs. Schweibinz is the former Evelyn Henritzy, daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Yurick) Henritzy of Jim Thorpe. She was a hairdresser for many years.

Mr. Schweibinz is the son of the late Charles and Anna (Kunzweiler) Schweibinz of Jim Thorpe. He was a Scoutmaster for 55 years.

They are the godparents of 39 children.

A family gathering is planned to celebrate the couple's anniversary.
