No. Valley shuts out Salisbury

Kirk Bender had three hits and scored two runs Sunday while Tyler Harris and Kyle Schomp both knocked in three runs as Northern Valley rolled to a 10-0 Lehigh Valley Legion win over Salisbury.

Cody Hallman earned the pitching win in the five-inning contest, allowing just two hits while striking out five.

The winners, who improved to 2-2, also received two hits and a pair of RBI from Zach Palansky. Josh Kern added a double, knocked in two runs and scored twice with Hallman and Collin Breidinger each adding two runs scored. Schomp had two hits, one a double.

Northern Valley returns to action tonight when it travels to Emmaus.

The Phillipsburg Indians used a big sixth inning to help post a 12-7 victory over the Franklin Shockers this past Friday.

Bronson Rodenbough has two hits, scored two runs and knocked in a pair for the Indians, who pushed across eight runs in that sixth frame. Brock Rodenbough added two hits (one a double), a run and stole two bases.

For the Shockers, Joe Oriel had a double, walked twice and stole two bases while Jimmer Farano had a hit and scored a run. Thatcher David also scored twice for FT.

The Franklin Township Shockers rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Sunday to pull out a dramatic 10-9 victory over Lower Nazareth.

Kyle Troch's sacrifice fly chased home the winning run to complete the comeback.

The Shockers had built a 7-0 advantage only to see Lower Nazareth score nine unanswered runs. The winners, however, pulled the game out in their last at-bat.

Anthony Rossino had a hit, a pair of stolen bases, and scored three times while AJ Wenrich added a hit, two walks and scored two runs.

Matt Stillwell earned the pitching win in relief by tossing 2 scoreless innings.
