Receives doctorate

Lauren Elizabeth Kattner received a doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences' Philadelphia College of Pharmacy on May 23.

Commencement was held at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts. Kattner had the honor of singing the national anthem for the graduating class of 2012.

While attending the University of the Sciences, she also completed a pharmacy internship at Wal-Mart Pharmacy in Lehighton.

Kattner has accepted a clinical pharmacy resident position at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Kattner is a 2006 graduate of Marian Catholic High School. She is the daughter of Vincent and Louise Kattner of Franklin Township.
