June 14, 1939 George Longazel's performance on the mound and at the plate helps Lansford post a 10-2 Black Diamond League win over Summit Hill. Longazel allows just five hits and one walk while striking out 12 in his nine innings of work. With a bat, he collects three hits and scores three runs. Tommy Robin finishes with four hits for the winners, while Lenny Scheese, Bobby Jones and Mathod Jaso each collect two. Lansford also receives a hit and two runs scored from Elmer Valo.
