Strawberry Festival
St. Matthew's UCC is holding its annual Strawberry Festival on Sunday, June 17 in the picnic grove, located on Grove Road, off White Church Lane, rain or shine. The worship service will be at 10 a.m. and the refreshment stand will be open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. They need donations of homemade sponge cakes.
There will be a car show from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., registration until 12 p.m.
The entertainment will be the Quartet 5 from 1-4 p.m.
Laymen's Fellowship is asking for volunteers to help clean strawberries and make salads on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and to slice strawberries and make ice cream on Sunday at 7 a.m. If you have any questions, please call 610-381-2442.
Historical society
The Eldred Township Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, June 19 at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew's UCC's picnic grove to set up for its Chinese auction at the Carnival. If anyone would like to make any donations for the Chinese auction, please be sure to have the items there or contact Helen Mackes. There will also be a short meeting at this time.
