Northern Valley's Zach Palansky pitched a five-hit shutout Monday to lead his team to a 2-0 Lehigh Valley Legion win over Southern Lehigh.

Palansky walked just one and struck out nine batters in his gem.

The Chargers scored both their runs in the fourth inning. Cody Hallman knocked in one run while Kris Seiler brought home the other. Seiler also collected two hits and scored one of his team's runs.

Josh Kern chipped in with a hit and stolen base for Northern Valley, which improved to 6-4.

Hallman, Tyler Harris, Ryan Trexler and Matt Williams all had a hit, while Talon Williams scored NV's other run.

The Chargers return to action Thursday when they host Emmaus.
