Awarded master's degree at Drexel

Edward B. McLaughlin, son of Barry and Marlene McLaughlin, Tamaqua, received a Master's Degree in Special Education from Drexel University, Philadelphia, this past December 2011, graduating magna cum laude. Concentrations included Educational Technology and Language and Cultural Issues with a Program Specialist Certification in English as a Second Language (ESL).

Edward is a 2003 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2008 graduate of Kutztown University with a Bachelor's Degrees in Elementary and Special Education. He is employed by ASPIRA, Inc. of PA at the Stetson Charter Campus as a special-education teacher in Philadelphia. He currently resides in Wyncote, Pa.
