Receives Doctorate of Optometry

Angela N. Burda, daughter of Michael and Gloria Burda, Barnesville, received a Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, Elkins Park, Pa. on May 20. While at Salus, Angela also earned a Bachelor's Degree from the university and receive clinical honors in each of her clinical externships, including primary care rotation at Advanced Eye Care, Limerick. Pa., a hospital and disease rotation at the Wilkes-Barre Veterans Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., a primary care rotation at The Eye Institute, Philadelphia and a contact lens rotation with Edmond's and Associates in Drexel Hill, and in the contact lens and low vision center at Will's Eye Hospital, Philadelphia.

Angela is a 2004 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2008 graduate of Misericordia University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. She will begin her career as an associate optometrist with Visionwords of America, Inc. She currently resides in Wyncote, Pa.
