Dominick Anthony Richards, son of Ralph and Jeanette Richards of Jim Thorpe, has been again named to the dean's list at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. Dean Linda Cabe Halpern identified Richards as a dean's list student for his 3.75 GPA.

Richards is a 2011 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2007 graduate of St. Joseph Regional Academy in Jim Thorpe. He attends James Madison on a full athletic scholarship and plays tight end with the Division 1 FCS, and nationally-ranked, James Madison "Dukes" football team. The Dukes are members of the Colonial Athletic Association or CAA, considered to be the SEC of FCS football.

As a Division 1 athlete, he was recently recognized at the university's All-Sports banquet as a scholar athlete for the football program and was awarded the Colonial Athletic Associations Commissioner's Academic Award. He has also been invited for membership to the James Madison chapter of the National Leadership and Honors Organization as well as the James Madison chapter of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He will be inducted into these organizations this coming fall.

Richards is a health sciences major at JMU and plans to attend medical school after completing his undergraduate degree at James Madison.
