James Gilbert and Autumn Barna
The engagement of Autumn Leigh Barna to James Harry Gilbert has been announced by her parents.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joseph and Teresa Marie Barna of Weatherly. She is a 2002 graduate of Marian Catholic High School. In 2006 she earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education from Misericordia University. She earned a master of science degree in classroom technology from Wilkes University in 2010.
She is employed as a third-grade elementary teacher by the Panther Valley School District.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Kurt and Karen Gilbert of Schuylkill Haven. He is a 2002 graduate of Blue Mountain High School. In 2007 he earned a bachelor of science in health and physical education from Lock Haven University.
He is currently employed by JWL Contracting.
A wedding date has been set for Aug. 18.
